In the year 2014, Japan suffers a major economical collapse and people are forced to emigrate to nearby mainland China. In the mainland there is a city called Mallepa, where living conditions are stable. In this city three young orphans — Sho (Gackt), Shinji (Sho's older brother) and Toshi — sustain themselves through pocket-picking and other petty crimes. While robbing a gangster, Sho meets Kei (Hyde), a vampire on the brink of death. Sho saves him and in return, Kei saves the orphans from the gangster.

The movie jumps forward in time to Sho as a young man. While the orphans still live on robberies and thefts, they have graduated to gun-wielding chaos that makes for dramatic fire fights. Kei is still with them and serves as a mentor to Sho, now grown up.

While performing a robbery one night, Sho, Kei and Toshi meet an enraged Taiwanese man, Son (Wang Lee Hom), and make a quick decision to unite with the stranger. Later, they learn that Son was taking revenge on the gang that Sho and company were trying to rob because they had raped his sister, Yi-Che. Sho, Toshi and Kei meet Yi-Che and the group merges into an admirable friendship. The film follows the group through coming of age, loss and love.

Set immediately after the Japanese Warring States Period (Sengoku period), Iga and Kouga, two ninja clans that produced powerful ninjas for warlords, have been waging a vendetta against each other over hundreds of years.

Around 1614, Tokugawa Ieyasu, the highest ruler of Japan and the founder of the Tokugawa Shogunate, perceived the threat posed by the ninjas of Iga and Koga. Attempting to consolidate his reign, he deliberately stirred up the feud between the two clans by inviting them to choose their five best ninja warriors to have a fight to the death (see the list of their 6 top ninjas of Iga and Kouga - see below "Who are list of Ninjas of Iga and Kouga"). Designated as the leaders of the two clans respectively, Kouga Gennosuke (Joe Odagiri) and Oboro (Yukie Nakama), who were secretly married, are unwillingly embroiled in the political plot. Hence, they have to make a difficult decision between their love and clans.

Initially, being peaceful and knowing the preciousness of life, they tried their utmost to prevent this meaningless and brutal fight by questioning the shogunate's motives. After the deaths of all their comrades during several fights, however, they gradually accepted their inevitable fate.

In the last fight, Kouga Gennosuke chose not to defend himself and allowed his lover Oboro to kill him, thus letting the clan of Iga "win". Meanwhile, Tokugawa Ieyasu sent his armies to exterminate ninja villages. To accomplish Gennosuke's hope of saving the villages, Oboro implores Tokugawa Ieyasu not to destroy the villages and, as a show of her sincerity, blinds herself, thereby destroying her most powerful weapons, her eyes (which possessed the power to destroy an enemy from within the minute they make eye contact with her, a technique called "Piercing Eyes" (,"Hagen no Dō" lit. "the pupil of annihilation"^?).

Moved profoundly by Oboro, Ieyasu withdrew his armies and issued an injunction to protect the ninja villages. According to the movie, the ninjas of the villages lived on peacefully. Their descendants continue to live today.

Shomuni is a comedic TV drama serial based on the Japanese manga of the same name by Gumi Yasuda (Yasuda Gumi).

The stories revolve around the Office Ladies of General Affairs department 2 (Shomu ni, or GA-2) in a large multinational company called Manpan Corporation.

GA-2 is called "the graveyard for female office ladies", simply because it is the place where female employees are dumped should they mess up big time elsewhere. Jobs include replacing used toilet rolls, changing light-bulbs, organizing company outings among other menial stuff. As an added incentive, their department is located in the nether regions of the company - in the basement, and is in fact a disused store room.

The setting is in France, before and during the French Revolution. In the early part of the series, the main character is the young, flighty Queen of France, Marie Antoinette, however later the focus of the story shifts to a woman named Oscar François de Jarjayes. Oscar's father, General Jarjayes, despaired over never getting a son (he had six daughters), and decided to raise his youngest daughter as a man. He trained her well in the arts of fencing, horsemanship, and medieval combat. Oscar often practiced her skills with her best friend, companion and (technically) servant, André Grandier, whom she almost always defeated. André was the grandson of her nanny and thus they spent most of their time together in harmonic friendship; near the end of the story, this blossomed into mutual love.

Oscar is the commander of the Royal Guard and responsible for the safety of Marie Antoinette, as well as the rest of the royal family. The story revolves around Oscar's growing realization of how France is governed, and the plight of the poor. Another important storyline is the love story between Marie Antoinette and the Swedish Count Axel von Fersen. The affair between the two was the subject of rumours through all of France, endangering the Queen's reputation and driving Oscar to request the Count to leave the country.

After the Count decided to leave and sign up for the war of independence in America, Marie Antoinette became lovesick. She began spending money in excess —expensive jewellery and clothes, attending balls every other night— to distract herself from pining for the only man she loved. This, in turn, weighed even heavier on the taxpayers of France, and even greater poverty spread throughout France due to Marie Antoinette's squandering of money. Both the Affair of the Diamond Necklace and the appearance of the infamous Gabrielle de Polastron, comtesse de Polignac are central plot events taken from history, as well as the French Revolution and the fall of the Bastille -- all given interesting interpretations through the fictional character Oscar and her companions.

On July 14, 1789, the Taking of the Bastille, the crowds rebelled but lacked strategy, giving the military the advantage and making themselves easy target for cannon fire. However, Oscar and the regiment B then arrived to help organize the insurgents. During the following fierce battle, Oscar is shot and killed, but the Bastille eventually falls, symbolically striking down the French monarchy. After the Bastille is taken, the revolutionaries burst into the Palace searching for Marie Antoinette and her family. Many guards are killed and the royal family taken prisoner. Mariposa, a butterfly fairy, is initially introduced in this movie as a friend of Elina's. Her name translates to 'Butterfly' in Spanish, and she is the basic heroine of the story. Unlike most of the other butterfly fairies, whose hair range from purple to blue in color, Mariposa shares her familiar blonde with a bit more of a brownish color to it, like the Fairytopia heroine Elina. Throughout the movie she sports pink butterfly wings.

Mariposa is shown the bearer of a character very different from most of the other butterfly fairies of Flutterfield. While the rest of the land is happy to forget the world outside the last light of Flutterfield, Mariposa loves to imagine the wide world she has not seen. She also loves to read, and much of her imagination feeds on books. We come to know of her love for stars, and she is well aware of the constellations and the figures they form in the sky. The Archer, one of these constellations, is close to her heart and essential to the movie.

She is a gentle, loving and caring person, but feels that she does not belong in Flutterfield, and is a misfit of sorts. For this reason, she does not attend parties and balls that most other butterfly fairies are more than happy to be present at. She does not believe she is capable of great things, and puts little trust in her bout of abilities and talents.

Throughout the journey to find the antidote required to save the Queen, Mariposa displays sensibility and knowledge. She is the one who interferes and puts an end to Rayna and Rayla's initial quarrels over petty matters. When the three are faced by Skeezites, she comes up with the brilliant plan of carrying flowers over their heads, so that the Skeezites smell these instead of the three butterfly fairies. She is also the one chosen by her friends to 'go on' in the Cave of Reflection.

Mariposa confronts her own self-doubts and fears in the Cave, making the right choice by trusting her own abilities, and thus pleasing the fairy of the Cave who beautifies her wings by enlarging them, darkening them, and giving them a lovely, sparkling glow. At the end, we see her find faith in herself, and believe that, despite her love of reading and the world outside, she does belong in Flutterfield.

Mariposa has a very special relationship with Prince Carlos - the Queen's son and heir to the throne - during the movie. They share a number of interests and, in their first meeting, find that they have been reading and enjoying the same book - wikipedia

The movie begins with Barbie and Teresa writing a song together on their guitars when Barbie's sister Stacie storms in angry with her friend Courtney. Liana and Alexa (Barbie and Teresa) are best friends who share everything, including their love of singing. Liana and Alexa sell flowers for a living. One day, Liana finds 2 heart-shaped diamonds in the river. Suddenly, there is a storm, and the two girls hurry inside their house. Liana makes the two diamonds into two necklaces, one for each girl. When they went outside the next morning, they find that their garden is destroyed by the storm. They sell the remaining flowers to get 3 coins, but that will not last until the next growing season. While walking through the forest home from the village, the girls meet an old beggar. Liana feels sorry for the old woman so she gives her her lunch, bread and jam, even though she and Alexa don't have much either. In return, the old woman gives her a magical mirror. As they clean the mirror and sing, a musical apprentice muse named Melody appears in the mirror's surface. Melody tells the girls about the secret of the Diamond Castle, which is the home of all music, and where three musical muses once resided until one evil muse, Lydia, tried to take the castle for herself. She failed, but turned the other muses to stone.

In an act of safekeeping the other two muses (Phaedra and Dori) entrusted the key of the Diamond Castle to Melody. And to keep the key safe from Lydia, Melody hid herself in the mirror, but now she can't get out. She needs Liana's and Alexa's help to free her from the mirror and to save the Diamond Castle. Suddenly, Slyder, Lydia's dragon hears Melody's voice, prompting Lydia to go after Melody for the keys. Liana and Alexa must hurry to get to the Diamond Castle first to get the other muses instruments to free the two other muses and to banish Lydia. Along their way, Liana and Alexa find two puppies (Sparkles and Lily) in the Valley of Flowers and decided to keep them and they also make new friends including two identical twin brothers Jeremy and Ian, who also have a love of music.

The teams are divided into "HOME" and "AWAY". The "HOME" team is given a disk containing their corporation's secret files to protect while the "AWAY" team attempts to steal the disk. The "AWAY" team wins if they are able to steal the disk within the given time limit where the "HOME" team wins if they are able to keep their disk safe. The game information and details are distributed to the gamers via mini-disk. The businesses participating in the Bus Game wager large amounts of money on each game, watching the action from a distance. In other words, the Bus Games is a gambling pastime in which the gamers are pawns for their amusement. In exchange for putting their lives at stake, the gamers stand to gain large amount of money, through their contracts and through winning each match of the Bus Game.

When three complete strangers, Toki Mishiba, Nobuto Nakajyo, and Kazuo Saitoh, are hired by a corporation to compete in the Bus Game, they are given the team code of "Team AAA" (Triple Anonymous or No Name). This group of three who differ entirely from their living environment and values to protect each other’s lives --- but without mutually wiping out their mistrust of each other or prying into each other's privacy, it would be the worst sort of teamwork, conflicting in every way. They only have one point in common, simply that each of them need a large amount of money for their individual circumstances.
